About Kurilpa
Kurilpa was established in 1962 in Boundary Street, West End. It operated in this location for some 37 years before moving to its current location in Gray Street, West End in 1999. The premises are purpose-built and can accommodate children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Kurilpa is a non-profit, community-based centre. A committee of elected parents oversees the management of the centre. These parents work closely with the centre Directors to ensure quality of care and the majority of parents' requirements are being met. As a member of our association, you can have direct input into how your child is cared for and educated. General meetings are held twice a year for parents to have a say in how the centre is run and what services are provided, and to give you in-depth information about the centre?s finances and operation.
